Energy Crisis

P
akistan has been fighting against the infection of energy crises from past decade or two, surprisingly still it has not been cured. We, the people of Pakistan, Pakistanis, around 200 million heads, are in a state of war against it. During these dark times none of the governments and its ministries has ever shown their interest to come up to a considerable solution. On the other hand, we have thousands of scientists sitting ready to serve, though un-utilized till the second, an excellent workforce who is young and energetic, and available in millions. Investigations, reports, surveys and facts have shown that we have a massive capability of not just producing power for our selves although we could import it to our neighbors as well. Waiting for the manger of these real issues of our state, people are still hopeful and have their fingers crossed.
Energy crisis is among the major problems that Pakistan faced in the past and is facing nowadays. This is our misfortune that we came to such an exhausting state whereas the leadership of the nation are in there dwellings. In recent times billions of dollars have been lend on high interest rates on the motto of development funds from international Banks and ally countries by the governors of the state, on the contrary, none of such projects came into existence, in addition the amounts are been plugged into there personal accounts.

People get baked during the summers due to the extensive temperatures along with the murderous load shedding. In rural areas 20 hours and for urban 16 hours load shedding is a common trait here and these spells cover the whole country. Industries have been shut down, economy collapsed and expenses are skyrocketing. People are starving to death; daily wagers are in a state of hunger spans, Major industrial groups have winded up there business and moved to other countries. Floods striking yearly and destructing major fertile and habituated areas of our native soil, exhibits the need to build more dams so that we can control water and save it for times when it is none.
However, analyzing our resources, we can come up with an ample amount of options to over come these power crises. Our county has 6 major rivers, flows throughout the year, which are ideal to generate hydroelectricity, one of the cheapest ways to do so. Being near to the tropic of cancer, we have a strong sunlight and heat to spawn power through solar mechanisms. Due to the diversity of temperature ranges through out the country, wind turbines are next options to undertake. Based on an agricultural background, we have an immunes potential of producing bio gas fueled power plants. Tidal power generators are perfect alternative since we have an 800 km long coastline.
We also have proposals upcoming from our different neighbors who are interested in providing cheap electricity to Pakistan, China being top of the list, agreed to provide power cheaper than our governmental rates. Moreover, I wish that Pakistan gets a leadership which concentrates on the nation. Last but not the least, I look forward to Pakistan that it flourishes and get its genuine issues resolved earlier than the rest.
