Transportation in UET KSK

            If you are studying in the UET KSK then I think you are very well aware of the transportation facilities. When I came first time in UET KSK I was thinking that the facilities would be like main campus. But when I saw KSK I felt my thinking is no more right. There are a lot of problems. And transportation is one of them. At first day after attending all the lectures I moved forward to bus. But when I entered in the route no.1 I was surprised. There were a lot of students in the bus and they even had no enough space to stand easily in the bus. So I also had to stand in the bus. But that problem was not for a single time we faced it every day. The reason was that the number of students was increased that year in UET KSK but the numbers of routes were still same. When were told that this problem will be solved within a month. After one month the route no.1 was shared by staff bus. But I saw the number of students were still greater than the number of seats. But I was quite satisfied because now I could stand in the bus easily. This all about route no.1 but the students of other routes are still facing these problems. Rout no.4 is an example. A lot of students came through this route but many have to stand in the bus.

The other thing related to the transportation is the seat occupation by the students. As the routs are long so everyone desires to sit on the seat. For this purpose students put a paper, notes, bag register any anything else of this kind on seats during lectures time. And after putting this they considered themselves as an owner of the seats. They considered the seat as if the seat is their property. The seat is only for them. No other person can sit on the seat. And if someone sit on the seat they behave with them is if he has made a terrible act. I told you an incident which I faced recently in past days. One day after attending lectures I came to bus when I entered in the bus as usual there were a number of thing on seats like papers, notes etc. anyways I sat on a seat. After a little a student came to me and asked about the paper which was put on the seat. I replied, yes that there was a paper on this seat. He said to me,” stand up. I put the paper on this seat so I will sit on this seat”. I just watched his face and said nothing. His behavior was too rude as if I had committed a fool thing or had snatched his right. He was behaving as I was not the student of university.  Anyways I left the seat and he sat down.

            So I think the transportation facilities are not too good for the students. Some new routes must be started. Some serious action must be done to forbid the students not to occupy the seat before the holiday time. By doing this some improvement will be done.
